Hi IDLers,

Does anybody know of an IDL implementation of the MODLAND Tile Calculator ( http://landweb.nascom.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/developer/tilemap.cgi ) in IDL?

I basically want to provide a lat/lon coordinate and know in what tile (h/v) and what location within the tile I will land.

I know David has shown how to find the location within the tile from lat/lon as in http://www.idlcoyote.com/map_tips/latlon2pixel.php but I also need to know first the h/v tile (and work on HDFs directly, not geoTIFFs).

They provide the MODLAND Tile Calculator code in c... just wondering if there is any IDL implementation or similar tool that could solve my problem.

Thanks

JP
