Based at the University of Florida, The ImagingDMD Research Network is a multi-institutional team of researchers dedicated to the development of magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy strategies to help find a cure for muscular dystrophies. The ImagingDMD Network consists of principal investigators, postdoctoral researchers, clinicians, and graduate students with specializations in biophysics, engineering, biology, exercise science, statistics, and clinical care with a reputation for collaborative innovation.

The Research Software Engineer will work as a senior member of the ImagingDMD Network responsible for the design and implementation of scientific software for the computational analysis of magnetic resonance data, the development of procedures and workflows for storing and analyzing large data sets, and the development of methods for integrating and validating large amounts of heterogeneous data. The candidate will also represent the ImagingDMD Network at (inter)national forums and scientific conferences, interact with scientists and industry representatives, and serve on the ImagingDMD Executive Committee. The work of this software engineer will have a profound influence on the potential implementation of imaging in future clinical trials targeting muscular dystrophies.
