Hi everyone,

I'm strongly considering buying a new laptop from Apple, and it will have Capitan installed. Does anyone know if the latest greatest IDL will work with Capitan? I looked on their website, but Sales portion simply doesn't work --- it gives several errors. I guess that doesn't bode well.

I've been using IDL 8.5 under El Capitan since October 2015 and haven't come across any problems. --Wayne

Same. I got an upgrade to El Capitan last summer and getting 8.5 installed with no problem. I remember I was using 8.4 before the upgrading and believe I can still use under El Capitan.
