Hi Folks,
Just a note to let you know I have put three example
object graphic programs on my web page. XSurface
draws a surface plot with axes. XContour draws a
rudimentary contour plot. (You are probably *not*
going to want to draw contour plots with object
graphics until RSI supplies a real contour object
at some time in the future.) XImage displays an
image with axes around it.
All of these plots are in resizeable graphics windows.
Pull-down menus allow you to change plot properties
and send the window contents directly to printers.
You can also make GIF and JPEG files from the window
contents. The image program shows some basic image
processing functionality. (Now here is something that
is *really* easy in object graphics!)
I expect these programs will be changing as I learn
more about object graphics. My thinking has already
undergone major shifts as I learn more about how
to combine graphics in an object window. I put these
out there not as the final word on the subject, but
to give you something else to look at as you work
with object graphics yourself. All of the programs
are heavily documented so you can understand what I
am doing. Feel free to contact me if you have questions
or suggestions.
Best Regards,
David
