Does anyone know if there is a plugin out there that will work with the IDL Workbench to provide a dark editor theme? For example, Eclipse has this one here: https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/eclipse-color-theme
But it appears to not be compatible with the version of Eclipse that the IDL workbench is based upon.

I'm using the one listed above for Java and Python development, but I also do a lot of IDL dev work, and it would be nice to have the same theme there too. A little easier on the eyes.

You can adjust the colours the way you want it. It is possible to export this setting and import it on other computers as well. I am not sure, how to attach a file her, you can write me an email and I can send you such a file.

That's true, but I think it's just for the editor, I'm not sure it would apply to the UI itself. For example in Eclipse Mars, there is an option for "Dark", under Preferences > General > Appearance > Theme
This setting affects the entire UI, including the button bar, scroll bars, etc.

This part is build into the most recent versions of Eclipse. And then the plugin I mentioned, gives various color schemes for the editor. Both in combination can give a pretty good result.

In the end, this is a "nice to have", but I was curious if anyone had used one in the IDL Workbench. Mostly I'm lazy and don't want to mess around with the colors individually in the preferences :)

OK, I see, the colours of the editor and the console can be adjusted. As this is all I mostly use, I didn't really care about other parts of UI.
Otherwise, you can set the colours up once and export this preference file. I have imported the same file into versions. 8.0-8.4.
