Hello,
I need to search for pixels by giving both area as well as intensity threshold,

For example if i need to give area threshold is 1 arcmin^2 and intensity threshold 1.35

how to search for the pixel which satisfies both these criteria.

Any ideas?

thanks

What does an area threshold mean? Does it mean some contiguous number of pixels?

Yes exactly, for example we need to give an area threshold of 20 pixels by 20 pixels which has an intensity threshold between 1.25 to 1.35.

How can we do that? Is there any routine for that?

thanks

I think you need to be more explicit about what you're trying to do... I can speculate, but it could be completely wrong.

Actually I have binary image, the area threshold of 20 by 20 pixels has to be applied to discard unwanted regions.

thanks
