Hello,

here is some dammed error, which costs us a day to find:

VMS 6.2 IDL 5.0:

print,alog10(0.0)

hui! no error?

and:

print,alog10(0.0)*20

what? a nice integer? but at least now with an error!


under D-Unix the error did not occur!

under 4.01 VMS it is the same as above!


be aware of your math-routines and alog10!
