Plotting x-axis as an string/ cumulative x-axis plot ??? [message #94040]

Hello all,

I am struck in a very funny situation.

I have values of y-axis for the 2 case(1) cumulative x-values (e.g >5,>15,>25,>50)
case(2) binned x-values (eg. 5-15,15-25,25-50,>50)

Can anyone tell me how to plot it in Idl ?
How do I differentiate between x-scaling of two cases.

Any help will be most welcomed.
