IDL 8.5.2 ? [message #94310]

Hi guys,

I am a little bit confused. I have IDL 8.5.1 and I wanted to use the functions NCDF_IS_NCDF and NCDF_PARSE

The documentation says that they were introduced in IDL 8.5.2 so I tried to upgrade my version of IDL.
I don't want to upgrade to 8.6 because I don't want to run into troubles due to the new license policy but I don't find the version 8.5.2 anywhere.

Is this a documentation error or I am missing something?

I am 99% sure this is a documentation error. I've not heard of 8.5.2 and in the 8.6 "What's new" they make no mention of it.

I am hoping that 8.6.1 will come out soon, with its more relaxed licensing. A couple of months ago, Chris Torrence posted that it would hopefully be out in mid-April. Wayne

Hi all,

IDL 8.5.2 was an ENVI-only patch release of IDL. So unless you are also using ENVI, you probably wouldn't have seen it. There wasn't anything exciting in it for IDL users.
