Hello,

On

http://harrisgeospatial.com/docs/TEXT.html

under the subtitle

Additional Examples

is written:

See *Annotations examples* for additional examples using the TEXT function.

However, the link goes to

http://harrisgeospatial.com/docs/visualize.html

Does anyone have a link to an overview over what is possible for
mathematical notation in IDL graphic functions?

Is there a way to put fractions in axis titles without output to eps and
then using sed?

Thanks for any help in advance, Markus

All the format positioning commands in direct graphics can also be used in function graphics

http://www.harrisgeospatial.com/docs/Formatting_Command_Exam p.html

and can also be used in [XY]title

In the fraction example, one would need a function graphics substitute for the PLOTS command used to draw the fraction line. --Wayne
