Hello,

we are planning a shift from IDL 4.01C to IDL 5.0 and
would be pleased to know some possible problems prior
to our start.

In the momemt our 2.2MB source-code of IDL 4.01 does
not run on IDL 5.0 because of:

1. cd over nodes problem
2. xmanager-problems

any hint wanted!

PS: tell the bugs know and RSI will give us 5.01A

What is xmanager-problems? (please)

3. on openVMS, IDL 5.0 modify logical name DECW$USER_DEFAULTS
(IDL, propose a temporary answer, define logical name into table
lnm$job)
4. on openVMS, IDL not use resource file IDL.DAT (probably consequence of
problem 3...)
