I use IDL that runs on a DEC Alpha running Digital Unix 4.0. I telnet to
the Alpha from my PC and display the graphics on my PC by running Hummingbird
eXceed 4.1 as an X-windows server (under windows 95). This worked fine with
IDL 4 but now that I am using IDL 5 there is a problem. All the plot windows
that I have tried appear to work, but when I type ? to bring up the online
help it causes an exception error that crashes the entire PC.
I expect that this is a problem with eXceed, but wondered if anyone else had
encountered this problem and solved it.
