Hey,
I have problems reading TIFF files (which I can send to you
after contacting me) taken from my
color RGB CCD camera with PV - WAVE. The calls of
the routines are
;----------------------------------------------
; test program
image = image_read('pp030.tif')
; or
status = dc_read_tiff('pp030.tif', image)
; put on screen
tv, image, true = 3, order = 1
;----------------------------------------------
the error messages are as following:
;this is the error message from image_read (PV WAVE WINDOWS NT)
IMAGE_READ: pp030.tif: incorrect count for field "SampleFormat" (1,
expecting 3); tag ignored..
IMAGE_READ: Unable to open file (pp030.tif).
% IMAGE_READ: Cannot read imagefile: pp030.tif
;this is the error message dc_read_tiff (PV WAVE WINDOWS NT)
IMAGE_READ: pp030.tif: incorrect count for field "SampleFormat" (1,
expecting 3); tag ignored..
IMAGE_READ: Unable to open file (pp030.tif).
% IMAGE_READ: Cannot read imagefile: pp030.tif
% IMAGE_CHECK: Incomplete image object.
% DC_READ_TIFF: Error reading TIFF file.
The TIFF files are sometimes readable with PV Wave 5.0 under UNIX/(Sun)
but I have expirienced that sometimes it is not
readable.
If there is anybody who might understand what PV WAVE
really wants from me: please write me !!
Thanks, Christian
