I'm getting a funny error when I run XFree86 (OS/2 version) and try to
display IDL plots. The error message looks like this:
IDL> plot,sin(findgen(100))
% Unsupported X Windows visual (class: StaticGray, depth: 0).
Substituting default (class: <UndefinedVisual>, Depth: 0).
% Execution halted at: $MAIN$
IDL>
If I set XFree86 to run at 8-bit color depth it works fine... as long as I
haven't run anything that takes up a lot of colors (mainly Netscape).
Interestingly, I can run my PM desktop at 16 bits and display IDL output on
it fine using PMX. Anyone know what's going on here?
