HELP with execute() [message #968] Fri, 23 April 1993 09:15

I am writing a program which needs to use execute(). The trouble is that
when the argument to execute() causes a compile or execution error, the program
halts just as if the program itself contained the error. Can this be avoided?
The execute() function returns a success indicator; I would like to be able to
check the return value and decide for myself what to do about it.

I investigated the effects of ON_ERROR with execute, but cannot get the
program to continue when execute() fails.

Can anyone offer some advice on this?
