how about a structure with every tag name has another type:
you should get an error on the 24. tagname....
even in IDL 5.02

PS: in VMS-Version 5.02 it is not possible to use the cd,-Command for
decnet-remote-disks... like CD,�NODE::DISK:[DIR]�
