This is just about a FAQ (and I'm sure someone will post the answer, or just
search DejaNews) but I'd like to say that I think animated gifs have
advantages over mpegs:
1. they are a lot easier to create
2. you can look at them with a standard web browser
3. picture quality can be better
OK, there is a downside, but I won't go into that! See my web page (perl scripts)
if you want a simple prog to make them.
