SHARP is an IDL-based viewer for MODIS Airborne Simulator (MAS) HDF
data. The program offers a point-and-click interface with the following
features:

Selection of any scene (716x716 pixels) in a MAS HDF file,
View any band for a scene (with title and color scale),
Automatic scaling to reflectance or brightness temperature,
Continuous display of data value under cursor,
Image creation via user defined band math,
Enhance/stretch image with B&W or color lookup tables,
Scaling of image data into a specified range,
Interactive scatter plots with,
1.User selected image regions (rectangle, circle, polygon),
2.User selected X and Y axis band formulas,
3.User selected X and Y axis limits,
4.Select up to 10 regions (10 different colors),
RGB image display,
Overlay of cloud mask results,
Projection onto a map base,
GIF or Postscript output.

Please direct your browser to

to download and try this new program. It will run on any platform
(Unix/Linux/NT/Mac) where IDL is installed, and the user does *not* need
to know anything about HDF. Sample MAS HDF data and cloud mask results
are also available.

Cheers,
Liam.
