Sure, the official site is ftp://irc.chmcc.org/pub/idl_emacs/
Some patches were posted to the newsgroup after the release of IDL 5.0
and never incorporated to the official versions, as far as I know.

You can get the patched versions (or simply the text of the posted
patches) at http://www.mpae.gwdg.de/mpae_RZ/software/idl/
