This is clearly getting a bit outside the scope of this newsgroup,
so I'll shut up after this one if anyone asks me to :-)

Sure, but doesn't this depend on what the future looks like :-?

If no more manned space flights are performed within the lifetime
of the design, then the coin is obviously going to be a Moon Landing
commemorative forever, but if another successful moon/planetary
exploration mission is performed, then this coin would definitely
*have been* looking to the future since it's creation!

Now, how about putting in a small image of the Carl Sagan
Science Station (AKA Mars Pathfinder), or even better, the
Sojourner rover? It's perhaps difficult (or too late?), but
it should make it clear that this is no moon landing!
