Is there an easy way to display data given in
spherical coordinates (longitude, latitude, z)
rather than in rectangular coordinates (x,y,z)
using SHADE_VOLUME & POLYSHADE?

A related question is: does anyone know who is
the author of the image displayed under Earth Science
in idldemo -- its the globe with 1/4th removed so that one
can see the inside and the core? Any ideas how the
image was produced?

Thanks!
