Keyboard hangs (IDL/Solaris) [message #1405]

I'm not sure whether this is an IDL problem or a Solaris problem so I'm posting to both newsgroups.

When running IDL V3.1.0 under Solaris 2.2 the keyboard occasionally hangs the characters just don't appear. However if I press MB3 this usually releases the keyboard and the characters appear. The problem occurs irrespective of whether IDL is being run locally or remotely and of which window manager (Openlook or Motif) is in use. The problem does not occur if IDL is running on a Sunos-4 or VMS machine.

Does anyone out there have any ideas?
