It is obvious that most IDL users are scientists with experience.
Otherwise, how one practical question on "how to do..." could result in
this much hypothesyzing and discussion? Not only do we want to have the
job done (and not so much we want it done, I guess), but to figure out
what's right and who's wrong. Only PhDs can do that...
