Just a few more comments on ENVI. Be careful reading the RSI price
list, as the given price for ENVI includes IDL. I'm not sure if the
ENVI_RT is for people who already have IDL or not.

We were also a beta-test site for ENVI, and our non-programming
scientists are just thrilled with it. I work in the AVIRIS Data
Facility, and thus we use many of the hyperspectral stuff. It's a
very powerful tool. I haven't fiddled with adding my IDL routines
to ENVI yet, but I plan to.

Caveat: I'm "just" a software engineer, and thus cannot truly judge
the quality the package for complex scientific purposes. It's fun
to play with though 8-).
