However, the user can easily accomplish this by enclosing the
expression in parenthesis. Then IDLWAVE will indent appropriately. I
even use this for very long FORMAT strings which need to continue to
the next line:

a = (b+c+d+e+ $
f+g+h)

print, out(3,i+1), $
format=('("> **** NOTE ROLL CHANGE TO ",D9.3,'+ $
'" MUST OCCUR BETWEEN THESE SCANS")')
