I must say that, although most of my writing about "inferior platform"
is a joke, there is partial truth in it. I used to hate Macs - they
would not stay up and running for more than 2 hours at a time for me.
But the combination of G4 and OS9.1 I use now is more stable than
anything I used before, except maybe Unix. I have not had IDL crash on
the Mac for many, many months. Thanks Thierry - outstanding job!

P.S. I must say that W2K has never crashed on me (yet), although
applications do dump out in it.
