Basically, yes... I drag it and I drop it, try to kick it, nothing helps :-(

IGOR can read ASCII with ease - this is what I chose to use. Not really
a high-end data exchange - dump data from obj graphics widget code into
a text file to plot in IGOR. Should've use named pipes. Oh, is that on NT?...

To be totally honest, I must admit that it is because of IGOR that I
never really appreciated IDL's graphics (for hard copies, I am not so
particular about the on-screen plots) and prefer the above mentioned
data dumping. For widget applications, axis ticks and fonts are not
critical (for me). For a publication, they better be perfect, and it is
so much easier to accomplish in IGOR. And, God forbid, if you need
color, I have then one more step after IGOR - Photoshop or Illustrator,
so I can see what it will look like in CMYK.
