I do not know nothing about CORBA but perhaps this is the right
moment for somebody knowledgreable with Usenet policy to clear
up a mess about this newsgroup :
For me IDL means Interactive Data Language (a data visualization
and analysis package from RSI Inc., exists since about 10 years)
There are two newsgroups :
1 comp.lang.idl
2 comp.lang.idl.pvwave
PV-Wave is a clone of IDL which came out later by a different
vendor.
So what I assumed was that :
1 was dealing with IDL (RSI Inc. IDL) (my itnerest)
2 was dealing only with PV-Wave specific things (no interest)
I am sort of discovering that there is "another IDL". Obviously
I'm not alone in my confusion, since what happens now is :
1 discusses both RSI Inc. IDL and "the other IDL" (percentage
varying time-to-time, but usually >60% for RSI IDL
2 discusses mainly PV-Wave, or PV-Wave vs IDL
Could somebody arrange to clear out things to have properly
subdivided and clearly identifiable groups ?
