I have doubts about the GUI Builder in the best
of times. But there is no way it is going to
write code that will run in IDL 5.0.3. New
keywords, etc. to make the GUI Builder work
were introduced after that.

I'm afraid you are going to have to write
this widget program by hand. The good news,
of course, is that you will learn exactly
how and why widget programs work. :-)

Cheers,

David
