For me:
{ sparc sunos unix 5.3 Nov 11 1999 } ----> WORKS
{ sparc sunos unix 5.4 Sep 25 2000 32 64 } ---> DOES NOT
WORK

BTW:
% uname -a
SunOS mr1 5.7 Generic_106541-10 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
