Not quite the same thing, but while paste is under discussion, I have a feature
(under { alpha OSF unix 5.4 Sep 25 2000 64 64}) that if I paste in too
many lines from elsewhere (maybe more than 4-8) the first few get pasted
in (fast) then the terminal locks up and will never recover. Anyone else have that?
