I was hoping someone out there might have had some experience with inverting
large arrays in IDL ? I am attempting to INVERT some 800 x 800 arrays using the
standard IDL routine. Everything works fine, although extremely slowly (even on
my ALPHA AXP workstation).

The MATHLAB invertion routines seem to do a much fater job ? Has anyone looked
into efficient matrix inversion in IDL ?
