Yes, it's not on by default. You have to configure the variable
idlwave-expand-generic-end. The easiest way is to M-x customize-variable
it. Or you can examine the ".emacs" sections of the manual which shows
this being set with other settings in your customization file. That one
saves me lots of times, especially when I forget where I am in some
deeply nested if..then..else..if block.
