I think IDL people need to read and respond to messages posted here.
Compare with MATLAB, for example. When I've posted a genuine question
in that ng, I've always had a response from someone@mathworks.com
within a few hours plus the regular participants!!

I emailed mathworks as well one time, there was no "What's your
reference number, product code, etc." bull, they just answered my
question! I've written to RSI a couple of times with specific
questions (of a mathermatical nature) and the salesperson replying
can't answer so offers to forward my message onto the 'engineers'...
who I presume *do* exist somwhere, although they certainly keep quiet.
