I have had reasonable success with a 560.
I have to port my colour printouts via Corel Draw in order to print them out.
For simple graphs I tell IDL to use HP plotter commands to create the output,
but things like images I grab the with the Ctrl-G key to Windows
clipboard and then paste into Corel.
It would really be nice if IDL could print colour to something other that PS.
