I have some difficulty in installing GDL.

Debian system. gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian)
[karthik] ~/gdl-0.7> uname -a
Linux physics 2.4.22-1-686 #6 Sat Oct 4 14:09:08 EST 2003 i686 GNU/Linux

Here is the error message:
