I have a SunBlade 1000 and ^C does not dump me out of idl

IDL> $cat /etc/motd
Sun Microsystems Inc. SunOS 5.8 Generic February 2000

IDL> print,!version
{ sparc sunos unix Solaris 6.0 Jun 27 2003 64 64}
IDL>; hit ^C here
% Interrupt encountered.
IDL>

In other words, it works as I would expect it to work. So, it is not a
universal problem on SunBlades.
