Thank you for your reply, Rick
I have found out that this problem has not directly to do with the
iframe_gap parameter, but the file size (my files were 32 Mb). If
fewer timesteps are included in my animation the file it plays fine in
windows media player and real player. However some dvd players (like
winDVD) are able to play the large files.
