There are days when I think their policy is to
rely on their community to do this kind of work
for them. Do you know how many times in the past
month I have mentioned the Astro Library, MPFIT,
and IDLWAVE! And the question that is inevitably
asked me when I point these resources out is,
"Why isn't this stuff distributed with IDL?"

Good question.
