Aggregating an array [message #42334] Tue, 01 February 2005 02:36

Hello,
I try to aggregate an two dimentional array to calculate statistics on
sub-arrays.
I thought I could use vectors to define subscripts to use the mean()
function :

res = mean(data(x:x+i,y:y+i))
where x is a one-dimention array

but subscritps must be scalars.

I try to avoid loops, but I don't see another way to do it. Does someone
nows a solution for this problem ? Is there an existing function in the
libraries that could do it ?

Many thanks for your help !

Jerome
