We use read_gdf() to read it. If you have read_gdf() already, then it's
variableToContainData=read_gdf(filename), where filename is a string
containing the filename with the extension .gdf. I also posted a comma
delimited version of the same data. Take that into Excel (it should
open as an Excel document), then Save As and you can export it as any
Excel data type.
