The UNIDATA Program

makes available a small set of example programs

in multiple languages as part of their netCDF tutorial.

I have written IDL versions of each of the six sample programs. You can
download the programs and example netCDF files here

http://idl.tamu.edu/downloads/netcdf_examples.zip

(a 16 kB zip file).

I have sent the examples to UNIDATA, but it may be some time before they are
available from the UNIDATA web site.
