Hi all,

is there any way to save compiled IDL routines as executables? I have
an application with a large number of subroutines, and it would be
nice not to have to recompile them each time I start up IDL.

PS: Thanks to all who helped straighten me out on the proper way to
restart widget applications after crashes.
