I have worked with Landsat maybe twice in my life, but I'd have
thought the way you were trying to open them was the way to go too.
Did you try the other landsat file options? I seem to recall there
being a lot more landsat file choices than there are now (ENVI 4.2/
IDL6.2) maybe they've stopped supporting some?
