Well, I told my wife I was going for painting supplies...again! :-)

This was a very subtle design with the IDL logo and
the words "Code Contributor" on the front. On the back
was a little three-line IDL program. I wish I could quote
it for you, but my son asked if he could borrow the shirt
to see if it had such a powerful effect on the, uh, younger
generation. He took it back to the dorm with him after he
did his laundry here.

But I've just gotten home from the big IDL user group
meeting in Boulder this afternoon and all the attendees
got a nifty little book by Ronn Kling entitled "Navigating
the IDL Workbench" and a free T-shirt.

This shirt is black, too, with the IDL logo on the front,
over the words "Innovation starts here". The back has a
big yellow and white bulls-eye on it. I did note today was
the start of the elk hunting season in Colorado, and that
even though I registered for the meeting within 5 minutes
of receiving my notice, I wasn't on the official list of
"attendees". So, I don't know if my shirt is the same as
everyone else's or not.

I'm going to lay low, though, at least until after
Thanksgiving. :-)

I will say this about the ITTVIS folks: they give a hell
of a party. Good beer and a table full of food, which I
never quite managed to get to, what with meeting so many
interesting people.

I was thinking about writing an IDL 7.0 preview review as
soon as my head clears a bit. I did take a lot of
notes. :-)

Cheers,

David
