Ok, so when my program crashes I click on "Debug" at the top right of
the screen, go to the run menu, select "Terminate", select "Terminate"
again, click on "IDL" at the top right of the screen, and then I'm
ready to run again?

That seems like a lengthy workaround.. is this the right way to
recompile and run again after crashing your code because of a mistyped
variable name?
