It really seems to me that Projects are simply "directories" for
groups of files.. this made sense when I read the IDL documentation:

"In IDL, a project is a directory that contains source code files and
other resources (data, image files, documentation, and so on).
Projects are especially useful as logical containers for related
source code and resource files. A project is saved within the IDL
workspace, which is a directory that contains project directories,
metadata about the contained projects, and information about the state
of the IDL Workbench."

But now I'm in the same boat as the rest of you. I have a bunch of
library directories that I want to make into projects, and I can't
figure out how to get the existing directories to turn into
"projects", or how to organize them in a nice way, as David is trying
to do.

help! easy walkthrough from someone who knows this stuff needed!
