Thanks for the info, it did help clarify things. I've set up a
workspace folder on the local disk but I still have the same problem
not being able to set up a new project. I really don't know why this
is the case. If I can't figure it out I'm going to uninstall it an
reinstall IDL 7. If this problem persists, should I contact the
people at ITTVIS directly?
