Hi Michael,

There is a problem with the handling of mailto links in the help view
(when the help is running inside the workbench interface). This only
affects Mac OS X (as far as we know). We've got a bug filed with the
Eclipse user assistance team, but so far no news of a fix.

The workaround, as Mike Galloy points out elsewhere, is to display
the help topic in a web browser rather than in the help view. If you
select "Help Contents" from the workbench Help menu, the help system
will launch in a browser rather than in the help view. (On a Mac,
it will launch Safari.) You can then navigate to the topic in question
and click the "comment" link.

Alternately, you can send comments about the documentation to
idldocs@ittvis.com directly. If you choose to do this, please include
the title of the topic you're commenting and which IDL version you're
running on so we can locate the text you're referring to. (Using the
link fills in some extra information about which version of the help
content you're looking at, so please use the link if you can.)

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Doug Dirks
