This thread not only reinforces the fact that the contributors here
are very patient, but also how important it is to ask questions
carefully (http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html) - and
include code snippets if possible.

After batting this back-and-forth for a couple of days, the answer was
hit upon immediately after the code was revealed...

Make a mental note...
